At KennelFest, our mission is to create a warm, home-like haven where every dog feels safe, comforted, and deeply cared for. We believe boarding should feel less like being away from home and more like staying with family. That’s why we provide a cozy, climate-controlled indoor space for restful nights, complete with soft lighting, soothing music, and clean, comfy blankets.
During the day, dogs are free to move inside and out as they please, enjoying activities designed to keep them happy, relaxed, and fulfilled—whether that’s swimming, playful group games, solo adventures, ball-chasing, or simply lounging in the sunshine. Our full kitchen lets us prepare gourmet meals tailored to each dog’s needs, ensuring they feel nourished and loved.

Our Story
Howdy! I’m Kara Grant—nature lover, lifelong animal advocate, and someone who has cared for animals since I was old enough to crawl. For more than 30 years, I’ve been an animal owner, caretaker, rescue network founder, animal-rights advocate, law activist, and board member for several rescue organizations. While my professional career is rooted in architecture, environmental design, and interior design, my true passion has always been animals.
After moving to Muenster, TX, I set my heart on opening a dog-boarding facility in 2019. When the pandemic delayed those plans, I trusted that the right time would come. And it did. With God’s timing and provision, 2025 became the year KennelFest Boarding Facility came to life—complete with a better building, better location, renewed health, and an incredible support system of people who helped make this dream a reality.
At KennelFest, our mission is simple: to be your pet’s home away from home. Whether you’re traveling or navigating life’s unexpected moments, we’re here to provide reliable, compassionate care. Our core values center on excellent service at reasonable prices, with an added emphasis on individualized attention for both our two-legged and four-legged customers.
We don’t aim to be the biggest or the fanciest, and we’re not driven by profit. We stand out because we prioritize community.
